Advisory House
Advisory House is a new headquarters for Reeds Business Solutions, shaped around the qualities on which advisory work depends: clarity, balance, precision and trust. Ledger & Light translates those values into the building’s order, rhythm and atmosphere.
Repeated fins line the principal façades like entries across a ledger, ordering the elevations while shading the workspaces and filtering daylight. Around the meeting rooms, this ordered surface peels open to admit more light and make exchange visible. A gently curved form and cantilevered upper floors give the building presence on Mwaleshi Road while extending shade to the pavement below.
The measure of the proposal will be whether this architectural order produces a better daily workplace: useful daylight, moderated heat, focused work and open exchange, together with a more generous edge to Mwaleshi Road. The building is undergoing council approval, so these remain intentions rather than results.
The Concept: Ledger & Light
The ledger offers order, balance and legibility. Light gives that order life. Its repeated lines become façade fins, shading the workplace and filtering daylight.
Around the meeting rooms, the ordered façade peels open to admit more light and mark a place for exchange: an architectural welcome to share knowledge, experience and insight. Here, the building’s identity and its intended environmental response become the same act.
